My mate who I sold an o2 genie sim to back in July is having a few problems with his sim, in his month his phone just took £5 off him, and this month he has sent about 80 texts and now it has started charging him and reason why. Plus on the free o2 sims today the T&C at the bottom says 100 calls or texts (not 300), does that mean the limit has been lowered and it has it been lowered for exisiting sims that have had 300 in the past? Or is the thing about 100 texts just a typo?

Both Talkalot Messages and Calls and Messages are advertised on the website, so nothing has changed.
I assume he is topping up each month with £10

It depends what tarrif thing he is on as you can either have 300 free txts a month or 100 units (1xnet mins = 1 unit 1 msg = 1 unit).
If you get him to ring o2 customer care from his handset or home phone then they should be able to shed some light.
