Hi there.

My question: I just register with 3 network through CellularZone and got my Motorola A1000 under T&T900 contract 18 month. Can I know when can i change my plan? I saw the 3 website stated that you can change your plan after 6 month usage. So, my question is can i change my plan like from T&T900** straight to T&T200 or I have to change from T&T900 to T&T600. Then after one month i change from T&T600 to T&T200 (is the lowest plan oredi :) ) again. The reason I want to change plan is that I seldom use the phone to call and send text. So, it kind of like waste not using the voice minute and text which it cannot be roll over for next month. The other reason is I will probably end my contract early which 18 month is too long for me, that's why I want to change my plan to lowest plan so that I can pay back my compensation to 3 much lower.

Besides all the above question, 3 have a new plan on it, which I saw it at the website that is online plan. What is the different between online and the standard plan? I heard from the forum said it is a plan which u can access internet. Is it true? Then it must be great to hear that as i wanted so long abt it oredi. Can I change the plan to that too like for example from T&T900 to Online675 or Online 950?

**CellurarZone gave me 12 month half price line rental which is I only paid 20pound per month. If I change plan, is my half price line rental forfeited?

Ok, I think that's all I have to ask. Sorry to ask soooo many questions?

P.S Try to contact lilinsider, but no avail. So, i post it here see whether you ppl out there can help.

Cheers.

Hi and sorry for not having my mail up and running. That will be fixed soon. Well it appears you have some tail to tell.

So I will begin by saying, the currently you can go down in 1 step increments eg tt900 ->tt600. Or cross tariff tt900 -> online1400 or vtt700. etc

Secondly the main difference between the "online" and normal tariffs is the inclusive minutes, text, and video stuff. If you were to ask a csr on upgrades or "Customer care" they would still offer it to you as if it was a normal tariff change.

There is NO online access included in the online tariffs. As it being given out in the form of two add-ons. £2.50 for 5mb worth of preselected sites or £40 for 512Mb unrestricted access

To order any tariff change or add-ons just dial 333 off the h/s then to opt 1 and 6.

Ooh at last i see you. This weekend i try send email to u but can't get thru. The question i ask above should be send it to u by email. But since i can't get thru so i try post it here. Quite shy also to ask so many question over here keke.

Oh yeah, if i change plan after 6 month will my half price line rental forfeit and also will my contract extended another 18 month. Like for example, after 6 month i still have 12 month to go for my contract end. If i change plan will it be like i have to extend another new contract...that is no more 12 month to go..i have to renew another 18 month...is it true...

I heard someone said that it will not...so i just want to confirm only.

Thanks :)

You won't need to take out a new contract to change your tarrif but if wherever you bought your phone offered you a deal with HPLR by cheque back for more than 6 months, you need to check the terms and conditions from that company as to when you can downgrade your tarrif. E.G if you were given a deal that offered you half price line rental for 12 months on an 18 month contract, you'll probably find that you can't change tarrif before the 12 months are up. You send in the 12th bill to them to prove you are still on the same tarrif and then they send your cheque back to you.

Hi there id like to downgrade my tarrif. Whats the normal limit for being allowed to downgrade your tarrif? I heard its 6 months on a 12 month contract, how long is it on a 18 month contract. cheers

it is the same period on a 18 month contract your a just tied in to a longer period of time my advice is if u have an existing price plan to remain on that as it is no where near the value of downgrading your package

What do you mean?

Im on an 18 month contract but the first 12 months are half price so after the 12months are over ill downgrade it. Ive had enough of three and cant be bothered to fork out for another handset with poor battery life and out of date features.

Is it true that 3 (three) have had a rethink on charging £25 for a tariff downgrade? and you can go from the highest tariff to the lowest tariff in one go?

as of 1st march you can downgrade one tarrif without the £25 admin charge, but only one. It all depends on when you signed up to when you can downgrade i think November 2006 onwards you can only downgrade after 9/10 months of your contract. If you sign up after 1st march 2007 (now!) you cannot downgrade on an 18th month contract until 18 months or 12 months on a 12 month contract, new customers best make sure they are on the right tarrif for themselves and not the p4u salesman in future!
