OK, when I was with T-mobile, I ported my number to a virgin PAYG. Fine.

Well now, I want to port my '3' number to the virgin PAYG, can I do this? After that, I want to port the same '3' number BACK to my new '3' contract I'm getting next month.

Sounds like a mouthful, but anyway, is this all possible?

I have seen reports of this happening OK and its what I will be doing I hope as I got a gold number on O2 and ported it to Three but when that expires i will have to port it to Virgin and back to Three again.

any particular way it should be done ie wait a week and then port etc etc....

I only waited a few days before porting back to 3. I used Virgin Mobile PAYG and even asked before hand if there was a minimum period I had to sign up to them. They said there was no minimum, so I waited about 3 days before requesting my PAC code. They very polite about it all...even made me feel a bit guilty about leaving them so soon lol
