IF you think email is a faster, better solution think again . When you say "no joy" what exactly are you demanding? What’s going to give you joy :D .
A survey of people using the words "no joy" in 75% of the cases its is when the request’s is unreasonable.

Sometimes typing an e-mail makes your problem easier to explain rather than describing it on the phone. I haven't found an e-mail to them to take unreasaonbly long for a reply, a few hours normally.
