New virgin sims 400 texts?

Could some one please explain the details of the new virgin 400 texts sims please. I have a o2 genie sim card with 300 free texts and 100 WAP minutes every month with a minimum £10 top -up. But i`ve heard with the virgin ones u get just 400 texts a month no WAP minutes? Also when my texts run out on o2 they charge 10p a message, but according to virgin it`s just 2.5p a text to any network, any time? Be grateful if any one could let me know the full details. Thanks.

The 400 text SIMs are a promotional offer, it costs £10 each month for 400, exclusive online offer. However, with Virgin your £10 is spent on these 400 texts, with O2 you get your 300 texts and 100 WAP minutes BUT still have the £10 to use on other stuff.

Virgin texts are 10p too once your allowance runs out, what they mean is if you buy their £10 400 text bundle then the effective price of texts in bundle is 2.5p each assuming you use them all. Out of bundle price is 10p per text, same as O2.

I think O2 is a better deal, OK you only get 300 texts but you get the £10 you've topped-up to use on other services, whereas on Virgin you don't.

Theres no competition is there , no one as far as i can tell has found a better deal on the web than O2 online :confused: , had I not wanted my swanky new 6680 I would have gone for it myself

The o2 deal is definately better, you have to be a big texter to pay £10 for 400 texts!
