3G is available for PAYG customers, you pay the regular charges for the tariff you're on (Smartplus, Smartstep) and then obviously there are additional charges for video calling etc. All the Extras are available (depending on tarriff chosen) and so is Stop the Clock.

I find Vodafone pay as you go to be the best. I save so much, i pay £20 for 675 messages which is brilliant value. I also get stop the clock. The coverage is brilliant here in Sheffield, cannot fault it. I did although, have a problem with reception at my gran's house which is at the bottom of a hill, in a black spot. I called Vodafone, they said they would send somebody out. A few months later i found out a new site is planned any time now. Good that they listen!

The free minutes can be used on stop the clock aswell. So you only use 3 free minutes for the whole hour talk time.

hello! I'm considering moving from o2 as it is rather limited with 3G facilities, so i was wondering if someone could tell me some of the offers on Vodafone, e.g. how does 'stop the clock' work (terms and conditions etc.) and other grreat offers. Many Thanx!!!!

You have to be on the smartplus price plan to get Stop The Clock, but once it is activated you pay for 3 minutes of credit at evenings/weekends and can talk for up to 60. After that is up, you will be charged per minute, but you can hang up, redial and talk for another 60 minutes and pay for 3 etc.

Other good offers - Vodafone Live! browsing is free and also the Sky Mobile TV service is free for the time being (till next year?). IIRC you don't even have to pay data charges for watching it either!

No charges at present, but the Mobile TV streaming is pretty unwatchable due to a problem with the streaming speed of the PAYT Gateway. Contract is fine.

I had to return my phone as a result.

When they've sorted....I'll be back in with my cash.

Mobile tv steaming is good. Its the sound the sound does not go with the picture out of time

I think it's great.. Plus, I've been on the smartplus plan and didn't know i could get stop the clock for free.. Now that's just put vodafone in a whole new light.
