Nokia 6680 Email setup

just got my nokia 6680 and dont know how to set up my hotmail email account on there?

Whats the access point
out going mail server
incoming mail server

can i use hotmail?

cant create a vodafone emaill account as i think its down at the mo

hey. i don't use a 3g service, nor do i have the 6680, but i presume all series 60 phones are generally the same.

hotmail does not use POP3 or IMAP, which means there is no real way that you can get hotmail on your phone. Other email-providers that provide POP/IMAP should work. Gmail SHOULD, but it requires secure socket connection which i don't think series 60 phones have covered yet.

Ah well. Normally operators have this covered. I know that orange mail (POP, i think) is free of charge (for orange customers, of course) and is usable on any phone with an email client so i'm sure there is a vodafone equivalent...

Hi,

I've got a 6680 too. If its just reading your hotmail you are concerned about, just go to www.hotmail.com via the web function on your phone.

Failing that, i agree with the suggested. Setup a free pop3 account somewhere and setup hotmail to divert all incoming e-mails to it.
