Hi,
I've searched this forum (and Google) and can't find a definative answer to this one. I've been with Orange UK for many years (from back in '94) and currently have three contracts with them. I 'upgraded' about three months ago to a 3G 6630 and have had enough. Orange technical support suggested that I 'fix' my problems by forcing the 6630 to use only GSM (2.5G). This seems to have stopped the missed calls problem but isn't the solution that I had in mind.
Can I put my 3G USIM into my old 2.5G handset without any risk? I asked in an Orange shop about swapping SIMs and the bloke seemed fairly relaxed about it but I'm not 100% sure he knew what he was talking about. There doesn't seem much point in having a 3G handset that's fixed to 2.5G.
I don't think there should be any contractural issues as I'm still using Orange services, just on a different handset. I'm more concerned about any physical issues between the SIM types.
Any advice will be gratefully received.
Cheers,
Cowie
