Hello,

This is just my expierence i have had with orange. I changed from orange to 3 uK yesterday.

I had been a orange customer for 5 Years.

First 3 years on orange payg. Then 2 years on contract.

First year was on everyday 50 then changed to the anytime deal. Now my anytime deal contract finished last week. I phoned them for upgrades and they would not give a dam. They would not match 3gs of 500 mins and 100 text for £30 nearest they could give is 350 mins and 50 text for £35. What a rip off. When asked for pak when saying u want to leave they were more than happy to give it you.

About thier current advertising where they have a monk sayin existing customers come first and get best deals. This was not to be true. All they could offer is same. What piece of trash that is.

I went to 4 mobile phone shops for upgrades in sheffield meadow hall shoppin plaza. All other shops i went to beside orange had a member of staff approach me within 1 minute while these shops where busy.

I was the only customer in orange shop and they had 3 members off staff sitting around a table chitting and chatting. I was in there 5 mins and not 1 of them bothered to get up and ask me for assistance.

That was the say i thought orange had become too big for thier boots and no longer care about current customers.

What loosers. and a rip off they have become when customers spend £1000's at the place.

If you though Orange was bad, wait till you have been with 3 for a while. Look in the 3 section of this forum and you'll see that you are out of the frying pad into a very big fire. ;)

Cronaldo. Firstly, take a deep breath and wipe the carpet fluff from your dummie. :cheeky:

Right.. Why do you think orange should match 3's 500mins 100txts?
Its a well known fact that the only reason why 3 have offers like this is to build a customer database. Which is fine and normal for new companies such as 3.
Orange have made you an offer, which is not pro-actively advertised in order to retain your custom. 350mins and 50txts for £35 is pretty good if you ask me. Hardly a rip off is it? Considering the standard tarrif closest to that is 200 mins for £30 with NO texts...
If you asked for your PAC number, of course they were more than happy to give you it.. You asked for it remember! Good customer service n'all. And after declining offers they have made to you.
Orange and other networks are taking 3's customers by the bucket load daily (sorry 3 employees) because of the problems they have encountered.
Ive been with 3 myself, as I foolishly fell for the cut-throat prices... Cant remembere where I left my old 3 phone.. I think its still on the rifle range
And regarding the retail stores... Personally I HATE it when you go into a shop and someone dives on you asking for help. Cant stand it with a passion! Orange retail (being a franchise of Orange PCS Ltd) get a thumbs up there.
Hardly crappy customer service is it?

I made a huge mistake and left Orange after a loyal 8-9 years with them and went to Vodafone and my airtime provider was CPW who were without a doubt (im my opinion - not the forums) the worst I've ever exprienced!

By month 9, I got so fed up I went straight back to Orange.

I've had some issues with my phone this month and even without Orange Care (which I intend to take on upgrade this time - I've learnt my lesson!!) Orange have bent over backwards to help me.

As for Orange Shops, excellent service, very friendly and they know there stuff with no pushyness.

It sounds like you've been met with some issues surrounding your phone but as I've said before if you ain't happy....LEAVE!

Before you all jump on my back, Im not connected or work for Orange, just a punter!

I've had a mobile for 15 years now and in that time I've seen the various developments and growth in the market.

There is no doubt that the standard of customer care has fallen on all the networks. The problem is the single customer is likely to be just 1 in 12-14 million!

In the last 12 months I have had appauling service off Orange on a number of occasions and excellent service on others. The same has happened on 3

As far as Orange matching other network prices, that seems to be dying a death, they only match the ones that are profiable to them - thats why I'm hanging on to my OVP Virgin SIMS!

I've come to the conclusion that the best thing to do is get the best deal you can on a 12 month contract and at the end either move somewhere else or port out and in again .
