email and instant messaging

I've just escaped from 3. My new Virgin motorola V3 phone has an email client which I assume I can use to collect my ntlworld email. However I can't set it up using GPRS. Has anyone else been able to do this?
Also the V3 has an instant messaging client. Does anyone have experience of settting this up on virgin?

Hi

Virgin does support WAP as without it we wouldn't be able to send MMS's.You should be able to configure the email client.But, with the IM client I think you've got no chance as it seems that you need a dedicated IM server which are quite expensive.
