How to get email?

Hi guys and girls, got my new phone and have some questions,

1st, How do you tell when you are in a 3g coverage area?


2nd, How do you set up the email?, I curruntly have the mailbox settiong as,

mail box name - vodafone mailbox
access point in use - Vodafone internet GPRS
my email address - martin1987*vodafone.net
outgoing mail server - smtp.vizzavi.co.uk
user name - web
password - web
incoming mail server - impa.vodafone.net
mailbox type - IMAP4
security ports - off

I have tried lots of time to send an email to another account but I get this error 'packet data connection not available'.

Can you delete the mail boxes because I want to start it from the beginning again and set it up correct from the start, I curruntly have two and want to delete them?

EDIT - I deleted them how do I get the correct settings?

These are the settings I use, they work for my <username>*vodafone.net

Outgoing Mail Server: mail box name - vodafone mailbox
access point in use - Vodafone internet GPRS
my email address - <username>*vodafone.net
outgoing mail server - send.vodafone.net
user name - <username> (Username as if you were login on the WEB, not GRPS logon)
password - <password> (password as if you were login on the WEB)
incoming mail server - pop.vodafone.net
mailbox type - POP3
security ports - off
APOP secure login - Off

For telling if you are in 3g coverage, check the manuel (depends on the phone)
