As i have a tv at home i don't think there would be a situation where i would want to use O TV regually as i wouldn't need to watch tv on the move, and i don't want to use it at home.
Would you use O TV regually? Please vote and post when you think you might want to watch tv on your mobile..

I would view it if I want to, but I won't pay a lot and it just doesn't make sense watching anything for more than 5 mins on a tiny screen.

I think i would use it quite regularly! i work weird shifts at work, and being able to catch up on the latest news, or even Big Brother resuslts during my dinner break would be a great way to keep me entertained!

I've voted "Yes - I would use it at least once a week ".
HOWEVER!....
That would be on the condition the pictures streamed were legible and came with sound, which, at the moment they don't, ever. And thats regardless of 3G signal strength, time of day viewed, or channel viewed.
This of course could be a problem locally to me, or just my configuration. Friend has the same setup, and it does exactly the same with him, which leads me to believe it's not my setup, just poor network bandwith availability!

Although Orange offer 16 channels they charge £10 per month. 3 only charge £5 per month although they have less channels. I find it all pretty boring, I've watched ITV & CNN news but the other channels are for Sun readers - ie mentally challenged. As has been said, who wants to watch TV on a mobile phone when you can watch it at home on a proper TV? You've got to be a keen sports fan or out of your tree! Incidentally I have Nokia 6680 phones on both 3 and Orange and am comparing both. Overall I prefer Orange because their coverage is much better - 3 targets the youth market as is obvious from their advertising.

Is your phone bebranded or SIM free?
I think the certificate you need is built into Orange's firmware.
Not sure though, can anybody else confirm this?

I managed to download and install pvplayer but it needs a code to work:alien:
I have even looked on the pv player website, doesn't seem a way to buy it.
Given the phone to my son now so it doesn't really matter any more. I suppose the only thing really is to flash it with orange firmware

with Orange TV, for £10pm you get 1gb of Data Usage....does anyone know if you can use this data usage for web browsing as well? I remember when I had a months free trial before that you could, as it made no mention of being for Orange TV only. I used about 100mb in the month (mainly web browsing), and got charged no extra...just wondering if the same applies when subscribing to the service full time?

^ No it's just for Orange TV.
I used this in the free trial, it was a load of crap. The sond and video were never synced so it was very uncomfortable to watch.

Its not really worth getting...paying £4 a month for about 4mb of data on Orange World is a rip-off itself, so I shall probably end up sacking off Orange shortly, and getting the N73 when its available on one of the other networks (apart from 3!)

I subscribed to Orange TV last night on my N95 (for the new BBC channels).
However my internet was going really slow, and streaming Orange TV wasn't really working.
Spoke to CS today, one person said there is work going on all around my area (Birmingham) until next week that would affect it (I am hoping it is HSDPA upgrades... lol) I thought fair enough, but I don't really want Orange TV for a week when I can't use it.
I spoke to someone else who said that I couldn't have Orange TV because it's not compatable with the N95. I tried to explain that it is updated on Orange world and I could subcribe - she however insistsed that my account showed no record of Orange TV.
I wasn't convinced because Orange world said I did have it.
Phoned up again, got put through to someone in billing. She found out that I had been charged, so she cancelled it. I asked if I could get my £5 refunded and she said no. I said, well surely I should because everyone is telling me I shouldn't be allowed it. "Well sir, you still willingly subscribed to it so that £5 is charged to you, you can't just change your mind 24hours later". I said, "so I have to pay for something I don't have, wasn't meant to have and can't use?"
she said she would refund it as a "goodwill gesture" and would make a note on my account so I can't do it again! The cheek! I think she was trying to squeeze that £5 out of me thinking I would just accept it!

I voted no. Seems the technology is just too flaky atm. Plus I prefer to watch TV on a screen size that I don't have to squint at to watch !

although it's a little out of date. All the current info (like BBC channels etc) are on Orange World.
