Advice on staff sales

i have a staff discount on my contract which i got through a friend of mine. i chose the o2 max with 50% discount.

the problem is im still spending 150 plus on my bill but for some reason im told i cannot get a upgrade and still recieve the 50% discount

can anyone shed me some light on this ???

My God what do you want for nothing, you get 50% off via someone you know and now wish to change and still get it, and how the hell do you spend £150pm on it, O2 max is 1000 mins a month and 50 plus texts you getting it for half price now

Basically as a 3rd party to the staff discount you are entitled to a 30% discount to the line rental and an upgrade at the end of each of your contract term. Taking this upgrade will mean you have subscribed to another renewal of said contract for another term. To be entitled to a 50% discount, your friend as offered you a contract on which s/he has declined the choice of upgrade and opted for a larger discount instead. You can have an upgrade at the end of the contract term but only if you forfeit your 50% discount to 30%. The ruling goes for staff - 1 x 50% discount and 10 x additional 30% discounts for friends or family.
