Im looking to buy a V800 on vodaphone. But cant work out the difference between the packages available etc.

Anytime200 :- 200 anytime mins + 500 texts, 12 month contract = £30.00 per month

and

AnyTime200 3G :- 200 anytime mins, 3 months 1/2 price line rental, 12 month contract = £30.00 per month.

So whats the difference???. There both £30 a month and there both 200 Anytime mins. I know the v800 im looking at is a 3G phone, so do i need to get a "3G tariff" to access the 3g features??.

Or can i go with, for instance, the above normal Anytime 200, get my 500 free txts, AND still get access to the 3g features??.

Confused   :(

Hi Packers,

I just ordered my V800i last week and am (eargerly) awaiting its delivery. I was confused over that same question, more so because you can also get a plain vanilla Anytime200 tariff for £25.00, as opposed to £30.00 for an Anytime 200 3G.
These two tariffs are available bundled with this phone on vodafone's online store.

When I questioned them, I was told the AT200 is a 2G tariff which, while working on the V800i, won't allow you to explore the 3G services. I was also told it won't even allow you to register on the 3G network and will make the V800 default to GSM.

My question's now: if that is so, why is vodafone selling this phone and bundling it with 2G tariffs? Doesn't make any sense?

I ended up going with the AT200 3G tariff. Have i been robbed? Let me know quick as I have 14 days to change my mind :D

Well ive still no proper answer to it either mate. Im still unsure if to go for an "Anytime Package" or an "Anytime 3G Package".

Gonna try the local vodaphone store for more info, or vodaphone customer care might have an idea.

Ill post back if i find anymore details. Thanks for your input. :)
