I have an unlocked nokia 7600 and would like to use o2 3G but the guy in the shop said i needed a 3G sim which they didn't have.
How can i get one?

I'm on 02 3G and got phone with sim. I don't think you can buy a o2 3G sim at the moment.

If you have an o2 contract sim then customer services will upgrade it for £10 and send you a 3g one

To clarify on my first post i want a pay as you go sim.
Right, now it gets complicated. I went to the o2 shop in Poole who said i could get one in an o2 shop with 3G coverage, they said to go to Southampton. So I went to the o2 shop in Southampton who said they didn't have enough 3g coverage to sell them (what?) i asked if i could get them mail order, they said no. They said that I could get them from an o2 shop in London though! so I guess if you live in London you can just go to the shop.
i have also bought a pay as you go o2 phone and i need to buy a 3g sim card. can anybody let me know where to get one from?

I'm an o2 online 3G customer, as far as i'm aware o2 3G is only available on pay monthly. o2 are going to launch their 3G PAYG service some time in the near future.

The plot thickens. After phoning several different numbers for o2 i have been told that the only way to get o2 PAYG is to buy an o2 X4 but they couldn't give me a price.
They told me that it was not possible to buy a sim on its own yet.
Has anyone managed to get a sim?

The o2 X4 is contract only (well is is on o2 online)

I understood that 02 pPAYG was comming this month, not sure if you can buy a SIM only or if you have to pay for the whole Mobile.

The lady on the phone said that she knew it was available (and was the only on available) but could not give me a price, i would have to phone another number. there seems to be no mention of payg 3g on the website.
