Yep i have just got my A1000 unlocked popped in my contract o2 sim tried sending the settings from motorola site for the e1000 but they never arrive, not sure if the phone is failing to accept the service settings from the server as no message seems to arrive! very strange, im hoping once the phone has been out a while someone will have the settings available.
Has anyone managed to be able to send a multimedia message yet with one using o2 sim?
also the phone still appears littered with 3 network settings even after a master clear, you all getting the same in this thread?
Hopefully some bright spark will solve my problems

Support snippet from motrola uk website!
How can I get support for my A1000 ?
Answer
Your phone requires the specialist support given by our partners at the "3" network. Please contact them on 0870 733 0333 or go to www.three.co.uk for further assistance.
I think this sort of sums it up looks as if the phone is next to useless on any other network! guess the phone is only being sold through huthinson 3 g

Maybe the settings are programed to the sim? I asked o2 to send me a new 3g sim card, they seemed happy enough with my request! so i am hoping this is the solution, no sim arrved yet though, does anyone read this thread?
some input would be good

the true mobile web settings for o2 are:
Access Point: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: o2web
Password: o2web
That's all you need to go to google on gprs. You have to make sure your o2 SIM supports mobile web browsing though. I think you can get it enabled if you phone o2 CS.

I'm not sure if the Motorola on 3 can be used on the 02 network especially if 02 do not support it. Judging by what you have already tried I guess the phone is not supported by o2.
With regards to o2 3G. At the moment only 10 cities have 3G however according to o2, 3G coverage will be about 50% by June.
I'm on o2 3G and don't have coverage so my phone is using GPRS to access all of o2s services.
Have you tried looking on the Motorola web site or giving them a call

Just learnt the orange gateway details: Username: User Password: Pass and the number to dial into is *99# This is what the person at orange told me to use when using the handset as a pc modem. Er is that helping??

I think all the connection details are on the O2 website. If you have to look via a given handset, try entering it as an SE P800, P900 or P910 as these are similar phones. You may just have to compare the menu layouts a bit.
I would look for you but at the moment my work PC won't connect to O2 site. Bloody super scout.
