Have o2 blocked downloads?

if I try to download anything other than via the o2 webpage that requires unstalling on my Nokia 6600 I get a failed service message

I seem to remember seeing somewhere that o2 has blocked downloads outside of o2 active

Can anyone confirm this please

I sincerely doubt they would block external downloads. Infact, no, they never would.

Perhaps it's a problem with the phone or the item(s) you're trying to download? It never hurts to resend yourself the correct GPRS settings from http://www.o2.co.uk/o2active

seems there is a firmware problem on Nokia 6600 3.42.1 that causes this

i bought the o2 x1b and youd think it would recognize my phone coz it being excusive to o2 but i cudnt download my free ringtone, o well www.cbfmobile.com :)

Seeing your thread i have 6 phones here on 02 and 2 very old phones on 02 one all but one ,i had no problems the one brand new today would not down load . on going to the o2 site and down loading the settings it did come set up but i down load the settings ,and now ..........yes it works, so going on that it may just maybe your settings ,sorry only help i can give hope it helps. tony
