How long for registration?

Hey guys,

Just wondering how long it took for everyone's SIMs to get registered? I bought an E1000 yesterday and the saleswoman said it would take 7 days to be registered (and get my number across from 3).

Can it really be 7 days? I need to play with my new phone! Also, I only have 14 days to try it, 7 of which will be used up waiting for it to be registered!

if you porting your number it will take 7 days

Your 14 days start from the date of connection. So in 7 days time you have 14 days

And without porting? Why do Vodafone require you to port at time of signing up? Or don't they (and the saleswoman lied to me!)

I just wanna use my phone... I think there should be a sign up as you go into these stores saying "We take your money now, but you can't use it for a week. You may as well be buying online"
