I am able to send video and MMS messages to Vodafone from 3 however if my partner tries to send an MMS to me then I just get their website text msg. I was a Vodafone customer for the last two years and had the same problem sending MMS to O2 users with MMS equipped phones so I suspect Vodafone to be at fault. Does anyone know for sure what is going on with this?

No but i have the same problem and worse still Voda normally put a password in the text message they send out that never matches up with the phone number.
Doesnt always happen but happens enuff to be a pain.
Sort it out VODA!!!!

Hi Vergleichen :)
I think your partner needs to contact Vodafone Customer Services. Hopefully it's something that can be put right. Is your 3 number ported from another network? If it is, try asking your partner to MMS to your '3' number that you were originally assigned. Ported numbers can be a right nightmare.
Please do let us know how you get on and what you're able to find out :)

I donT have a ported number and I still have this problem as I say with Voda so I doubt thats the problem
Do you also get the problem I mentioned Vergleichen withe Voda giving you the wrong password for any picture messages you get - cos Im sure when your gf sends them you wanna see em lol

I haven't ported a number.. I've only been on 3 for about 3 weeks. No major complaints either. I phoned cust services at vodafone when I was a customer on several occasions about this issue. They then claimed it was a temporary problem between networks that would be resolved, but it obviously has never been resolved. I now think it just is anti-competitive behaviour. I will get my partner to give them a phone about this again. MMS should be the same as text messaging at least if you stick to the lowest resolution level. However, I have tested this between Vodafone and 3 and it still is a one way transmission. BTW SMS text and voice calls between my 3 phone and vodafone work fine. Perhaps a complaint to oftel is warranted?

If what you say is true you might as well log it.
If they think there are enuff grounds they will have to investigate.
But I agree with u this has nothing to do with ported numbers

PS to the query regarding vodafone passwords, I confess I've never bothered checking the website and trying so I can't say. The hassle isn't worth it for me.
