No Davis unfortunately 3 and Voda hold the rights to the videos and so they will not be available on Orange unless you find them on a different site on the iternet somewhere
Sorry

It looks like i may have to take a look at vodafone then, as that is the only reason to keep a 3G phone at the moment

Plus you are not limited to 50 MB download with Vodafone Live
I download all the Footy vids on a Saturday and that can be upto 25 MB for all of them so its alot

i look at them all each weekend on my 3 lg phone, and have to delete them regularly as i only have 14mb space.
Is the football expensive on vodafone?

IF you go on the Voda 3G tariff you get
£40
500 mins
50 Vid calls
£12 of text/MMS or Vid msgs and 80 MB data
Free Sports, film and news downloads for life (simalar to the 3 content pack
Free 3 music downloads for 3 months
Free Vodafone live browsing
So the footy costs nothing

I just looked at Orange's website, it says they DO have Premiership and League goal and highlights videos.
Can't post a link as it is a flash file, but it says:
'You'll be able to enjoy:
- match and goal highlights from the Premiership and Football League
- follow your club on Orange World, including official club content from Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton, Manchester City and Blackburn FC
- plus Sky Sports News and text commentaries
So 3 and Voda do not hold exclusive rights. Also, this coverage sounds like it could be more comprehensive if you support one of the teams above with it having official club content.
So you could consider orange after all!

The only advice I have is
Orange you get 50 MB of data a month, which will go in no time when downloading footy clips on a Saturday afternoon. I did 23MB last weekend.
Plus you may have to pay for them with ORange
However with Voda
If you sign up for the hero tariff as above you can download them all and it wont cost you a penny

if i swapped to vodafone, would i then be able to keep my orange phone number?

I don't advise porting between networks, especially if you value being able to receive SMS messages from outside the UK. It can cause all sorts of problems. Still, most people port these days, so it's up to you. You should be able to, yes.
Orange do have *some* football content... they have a football section anyway. I know nothing about football :)

the idea of swapping to vodafone is off for now as the chap in the shop thought it would be 12-18 months before Bath was 3G friendly.
Orange appears to be the best choice as 3 is working 1 minute and not the next

my advice to this.
Yes you will get 3G coverage with Orange, but you will pay through the nose for now for the footy content and the downloading. But with Voda you wont.
However I do beleive that Orange with have a content pack soon
One other thing to help you decided.
You can still download the videos on both orange and Vodafone when outside of 3G coverage, unlike 3. So if you are not in a 3G area you will still be able to download the content but it will be slower than 3G.
If you want 3G for the content and Value then go with Vodafone because you can still download the content outside of 3G area.
IF you want 3G for better 3G coverage then go with Orange

Thanks, that is really helpful. I didn't realise that you could still download all the videos even without a 3G signal. I always have plenty of time to download them as I use my computer when I need to get things quickly.

You can even stream them, but thats a total waste of time very blocky picture lol

How long does it take Orange to post the clips from Saturday's Premiership games? It's Sunday night and they're still not there!

Have a couple of points about Orange 3g and football.
I have a Z1010 which I bought last week and am not to happy with the 3G football content from Orange (also not happy with the phone - keeps on crashing every time I receive a text message!). Seems as though they have an agreement with some clubs and post free 'official' video of recent matches for those clubs. However, i am an Newcastle fan and they don't seem to have posted any Newcastle goals for a couple of weeks, as Newcastle is not listed as an official club.
I have, however, found a way around this, if you go to the vodafone live wap page you can download football from their 3 g section for free (although as an Orange user it will take up some of your 50mb download)
Finally the football section on Orange appears to be updated on a Monday so going to Vodafone seems to be a pretty good option as they update after the match!

I would be careful my friend. I once went on o2 P O R T A L and downloaded a ring tone. 2 months later it apperared on my bill as a charge. I phoned Orange up (who I was with at the time) and they explained that o2 had sent them the bill and as such they had passed it onto me. I explained that O2 did not inform they would charge, but Orange said it was for me to to take up with o2 because it was out of there P O R T A L area.
I would be very careful if I was you and watch out on your next bills

Thanks for the advice Jon3g! I was a bit shocked that i was able to download the video. Will wait for my next bill before trying any more videos and let you know!
The link that is stored in my bookmarks is wap.vizzavi.co.uk/cae/m although I used the google search on orange world to find it.
I wont be using it again until i know if i am going to get charged loads!
