Hoping somebody can advise me what my son should do, he recently sent his 8120 back for repair and was told by the repair centre in Scotland to send his battery as well, as that could be the problem. You guessed it the phone came back without the battery, customer service India said he would be sent one and it would take 5 days, in the mean time he borrowed a batt, batt never arrived, now india is saying he will not be sent one as the repair centre said they never received it. He cannot get India to change its mind, they say there is no supervisor he can talk to,they will not give him an alternative contact number,he ended up sending an e mail to C/S and the contact centre giving them a deadline to send him a battery, neither place has responded. Customer service what customer service.

When my old 606 had to be sent away for repair they told me to keep the battery and SIM and just send the phone itself.

Hiya. I will try to help.
First, get your dealer registered on your account for "third party" access. You'll will need to provide 2 passwords so your dealer can act on your behalf. Just call 3CS to set that up. Then call your dealer and explain the battery problem. Ask them to call 3seller channel support to organise a battery. Your dealer should be able to sort it out.
Best wishes

hi i have had my phone for about 3 months i can record vidios and take pictures and the book says i can send them to but when i try send them it always says unale to send can u please help me solve this problem
Bryfly: Its a legal requirement that all offices have a person in charge (ie supervisor/manager/team leader). Demand that they put you thru to higher person, they must have one... But then the way 3 run their offices I wouldn't be suprised if they don't :(

In the past people on here have posted numbers for UK contacts. Someone may be able to re-post those here again, or you could have a browse through the forum.
I'm not suprised that the Indian CS refused to put you through to a supervisor, I get the impression that they get a bollocking when a manager has to intervene, so they just refuse or cut you off.
I managed to get thru to a UK operator had to call the 0870 customer service number, but replaced the 333 with 300 :)
All the issues I had got sorted... totally happy with the young lady.... Had problems getting her to understand that you can't use call barring with call divert... The Network auto=divert is a pain in the A$$... if anyone has managed to get this switched off please let me know.. also anyone know the default call barring code (0000 don't work).

Shocking!
Well, I knew that some dealers just don't do the job like I do.
If I had sold you then phone I could / would help!
Who was the dealer? You'll have to type it carefully, otherwise it will be blacked out oin screen. Let's name and shame I think!
In the meantime I will rack my brains for another solution...

Got it.
Get your son to call 0870 733 0351. Glasgow handset repairs! Explain the history. See if any notes confirming your story are already on the account. Ask for escalation to authorise replacement battery ASAP. Ask if Glasgow can send the battery directly from there, or if not, can Executive Office get involved to expedite things VERY quickly.
Whilst talking to Glasgow AND also WHEN you finally receive the battery, call the above number again, say you want and expect a credit for the time without battery (line rental credit). Make sure they note your request. Get their full name and extension. You'll have to wait for more than a month to actually SEE the credit applied onto your bill, so stay diligent!
Keep me posted!

Just a suggestion ...
You may want to consider writing a letter to Santa
A long shot I know , But as you are discovering , more likely to bear fruit than talking to Three

Hi.
I actually sorted this for a customer's LG8110 TODAY.
I hope it works for you...
1. Take the battery off and sim card out.
2. Wait 10 mins or so
3. Put it back together
4. Switch on and check your memory of your phone... If a lot has been used on saved texts / pics / vids / sounds, etc, DELETE everything you don't need anymore! (This is good practice anyway)
5. Go into your browser. Select options and clear cache and cookies.
(All these things free up memory and clutter)
6. Ensure your MMS settings are correct (ie picture settings: MMS (standard) size / file size settings correct / MMS service centre url correct (on LG will be http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc)
Try sending your pic now...
If it doesn't work...
Cry!
LOL - sorry - call CS and ask for them to test your SIM to ensure it is provisioned correctly.
Post your results here.
Good luck :)

[QUOTE=pkc]I managed to get thru to a UK operator had to call the 0870 customer service number, but replaced the 333 with 300
My son tried this today and was told his records show " do not supply a replacement battery" so got nowhere. also had an e mail response from the "3" contact centre saying that his customer records do not show that he was told to return the battery so they will not replace it.
Cannot believe it, why would anybody think you would lie about such a thing it is not as if they are hugely expensive.......unbelievable......guess this is the end!!
anyway thanks for your assistance folks
