ZDNET have an interesting article about 3g data services; Vodafone seems to have won ZDNET interest for the open internet access on their phones.

Apparantely this COULD be the killer app.

Interesting review. I have the Vodafone 3G card which I use with my Apple Powerbook and have never failed to get at least a GPRS connection. When I do get a 3G connection (which is becoming more often now) then the speed is good. Unlike the reviewers I have had few problems streaming video and regularly get 30-35 KBytes per second on downloads.
