Hi

Background:
I bought 2 NEC e228 phones a few weeks ago (ThreePay).
The same week I transfered-in my nuimber from o2 to my phone.
Last week I then bought 2 LG U8120 phones from 3G Mobile Store (http://3gMobileStore.co.uk) (Contract).

Now I had 4 phones (1 of each for girlfriend and myself).

So I decided to give the 2 NECs to my girlfriends mum and dad.

As I wanted to keep my ported-in number - I decided to keep the USIM and buy another from ebay - no problem.

Today I give them the phones and the new USIM and blocked the phone - PUK required. I'd forgot the USIM PIN is preset to 0000 !!!!

Rang 3 CS (India) and explained that I'd given the ThreePay phone to my girlfriends mum and she has a new USIM and the phones blocked.
Leave it with us they said after alot of typing.

Shock and horror - within an hour they'd sent a signal to the phone and unblocked it!

Everything went seamless and no problem.
I was expecting a load of questions regarding switching phones and buying the USIM from ebay but they didn't!!!

Another thumbs-up to 3 CS (India) - appreciated :D

Happy posting!

Well India has probably the highest qualified call centre staff in the world you know........and not just talking about threes !

Mostly Graduates.

And public opinion about them in the UK has prompted NatWest to make the fact that they dont use offshore call centres a major part of their current advertising campaign.

So the majority of the population dont view Indian call centres as a positive benefit!

Yeah when it affects THEIR livleyhood...............but that was NOT the point we were talking about. So stop harrassing me

It would appear NatWest failed where 3G UK are succeeding.

In my experience to-date of using 3 3g CS (India) they must have a very competent CS team and a high degree of communication - all I have spoken too speak fluent English.

I am literally very impressed with the ability of the CS provided by 3.

Yeh it was meant to be funny ;) I was expecting the worset from 3 CS (India) given my (our) circumstances but I was pleasantly surprised and so was my girlfriends mum - 3 CS resolved the issue within an hour of the phone call - good going.

Same last week when I ported my number into 3 from o2 - on the day of transfer it was done and dusted by 8am - I didn't even notice any downtime/change over whilst it was being done.

In both my experiences of 3 3G CS (India) they have done a sterling job.

Well I certainly am not going to give a false account of my experience of 3 3g CS (India) to suit you - that I do know for a fact!

I'm porting-in a platinum number (bought from ebay UK) to the other contract phone next week. I hope this goes equally as smooth.

You'd call black, white just to argue!

If a genuine 3 3g customer has a complimentary comment/experience about the 3 network and or services they are perfectly free to say so just as much as if a genuine 3 3g customer has a complaint/bad experience.

Live with it!

What next a thread extolling the virtues of the 'walled garden'.

graale00

Yes true enough it's less than satisfactory to a number of people, but that doesn't mean they dont do a good job for a much higher percentage of satisified customers does it.

So your anology (as stupid as it is) that as the majority of postings regarding 3 3g CS is a negative experience then we shouldn't post positive 3 3g experiences!

It's a known fact people say when they are not happy more than those that are happy with a service.

This just shows your wanting to show potential/customers biased (negative) experiences of 3 3g UK.

Your wrong! No I hope 3 3g do knock down the 'walled garden' - it'd be a good revenue earner for them. I've said that in my past posts before - if you was paying attention

What do we know!!!!!
We only use 3 phones and because we have a postiive opinion based on our own experiences it is not right.

Some people dont believe that we have a right to express our postitive opinion about 3. To them we are a minority and all the other networks are perfect.

Well I have one word for that ********

A1c
07-11-2004, 10:06 PM
Well if you have to resort to gutter language to make a point!

The Indian call centre has improved but is still a negative for most 3 users. I have recently had some contact with them and they have been OK but often they are hard to understand, come across as quite arrogant and often they dont resolve simple problems that 3's Glasgow call centre can deal with easily.

If 3 had to start again I doubt if they would go down the offshore route - they have paid a high price for that decision.

I Have A Right To Swear And To Say Postitive Things About 3 If They Are True.

At Times Biased Negative Comments Payed For By Employees Of Mobile Phone Companies Annoys Me.

A1c

You actually have no right to swear here as it is against the rules of the forum and you cannot state that anyone works for any particular company without some evidence to substantiate your claim.

Discusssion is about products and services and not about individuals. When contributers stoop to attacking others based on assumption threads degenerate into wothless slagging.

I'm sure that's not what you came on here for.

new2three

All I am asking for a a debate about 3 services. Yet every thread you post is negative and biased even when 3 useres say one thing you say another,

QUESTION

WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE A NEGATIVE OPINION ABOUT 3.

YOU ALWAYS POST THE MOST NEGATIVE THINGS YOU CAN DREDGE UP ABOUT 3 NO MATTER HOW OLD THE ARTICLE IS

WHY DO YOU DO THIS AND WHAT ARE YOUR MOTIVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tripe - I have posted articles published in today's newspapers! (You must be confusing me with others who post stuff from years back and pretend they appeared recently).

All of my posted information from other sources is referenced!

This thread is about 3's Indian contact centre and all my comments have been on-topic!

Your problem is?

Yes. An intertesting member.

The member has posted close to 2,000 posts (over 7 a day) since Feb this year. I was trying to work out the proportion of the replies that are actually of any use to members who have queries/problems - finding the negative/unhelpful/flippant ones is alot easier however!

When I first posted I soon realised he/she had serious issues with 3 3g UK by the replies given.

Shame really because it degrades the 3G Forum and I believe it has put people off joining and posting.

It's not just the replies but the degree/frequency - very bad debating/helping/understanding nature to have when (non)members are looking for constructive help/advice.

Very true!

I certainly understand where you are coming from (new2three) but If certain others *******ise posters threads/replies just put your view/experience/help/advice forward in a cool, unbiased constructive manner - as you usually do.

The forum needs members like you to strike a balance :D

This 3gsu hate campaign is utterly ridiculous - especially when you consider there is a perfectly good Ignore function
More often than not the Issues he raises are ignored (by the few usual suspects ) and an onslaught of his character usually follows

The whole idea of forums is to share opinions & debate - if you can't handle that then perhaps you should leave

He never post's any solution's when talking about Three.........it just slids into........."I told you so!".........."What do you expect!"..........and other unhelpfull verbose observations.

He does talk sense "sometimes" but he's his own worst enemy when he always slids into a rant about THREE.

new2three

I joined this forum to get help and advise about 3 and the 3 phone I'm using.

I like constructive debates with a credabile argument/thread

Yet our colleage always posts biased threads and contradicts what current 3 useres are experiencing with their phones

My argument is a simple one

WHY Post all negative threads about H3G unless you have a hidden agenda

I'm sure that many forum memberes are sick and tired of all this nagativity.

You state we can leave or press the ignore. Another, is to start our own 3 forum

Whenever 3GSU posts anything "negative" - it is usually BASED ON FACTS , and usually backed up with source info - now if the the fact show Three in a bad light then wheres the problem ?
Would you prefer that all the problems were swept under the carpet ?
FACT - Three is not a reliable network
FACT - 3 CS is crap (have a look in the CS forum here )
FACT - Handsets have not been up to scratch

How can you make any of that sound positive ?
Put "3uk customer service" into google and see what comes up !

Honestly don't let it get too you. We all should have freespeech (within reason) and 3GSU is no different - he obviously has some very serious issues with 3 3g UK and further afield but that's his problem and forum (non)members can see straight through it - it's so bang in your face you can't fail to miss it

I'm looking forward to the other network providers rolling out mobile 3g because I for one will be trying them out and posting my unbiased experiences in the relevent forum section(s)...

I agree.

I asked on the Voda thread if they are going to release a 3 PAYG. I have used Voda GSM PAYG and it was ok. When I used to commute to Midhurst from CHichester Voda was the only phone with complete coverage, the other networks had little or no signal.

So I would like to try out Voda 3 when they launch a PAYG service

Your giving high generalization facts - CS centres are for customers who have problems/queries and issues - how many people do you think call in to say "O I just want to say your a good, reliable network and to say thanks" - honestly :D lol

Voda is one network I have never tried for some reason.
T-Mobile - I liked but they went to a 30p/20p/10p tariff - I didn't like being forced onto a one fits all tariff so left.
Orange - By far the worset network I have ever experienced (to-date).
o2 - I liked - Good tariffs and reliable network (for me) CS were helpful after waiting for too long on hold to get queries resolved.
Three - in 2 weeks of 3 3g UK - no problem, CS quick and helpful and quick to resolve issues. Handsets have been reliable and feature packed and the network is spot on even in/out of 3G area. In time I proberbly will have a complaint about 3 3g as they can't be perfect I'm sure!

I'll never touch Orange again but if o2 roll-out mobile 3g I'll try them and possibly T-mobile.

Cos it goes back to the days when orange were owned by Hutchison and they had vision......they developed a good network coverage in a remote environmentally sensitive area.........where they r currently the ONLY and likely to REMAIN ONLY provider.............those were the days........hutchison...........trouble is orange is now owned by the gutless french who have run scarred of 3g for the last year........and guess what ? who owns three now!
