can we use other network's sim card in three's motorola a1000

i want to buy a three's a1000. but i may go abroad later on. i don't know if you go abroad, whether i can use local network with local network provider's sim card( it is GSM based ). if no, is there any way to make it?

It will be SIM locked but generally there are dealers who can offer to unlock it for you for a small fee. Its early days though for this device so I'd advise waiting until you see if a solution develops then make your purchace.

NB: This must be a record for unlocking info about a 3 handset!!!
