Yes its much better
You can push 'right' on the joy-stick before its loaded and it goes straight to the main page, missing out today on three!
Keep it coming indeed
Diitto, Much better, unless of course you use a 616v which i had the misfortune to use the other day (dog slow operation)
Which they would update the news clips more often though, its the only thing i use really and i think a couple of video updates updates during the day is a poor show in this day and age.

??????
Anyone?
Hi Janine,
Welcome to the forum
"The services jar" is what is refered to when people on here talk about a small java program thats is downloaded automatically by some 3G phones, Basically its just a launcher platform for browser addresses, The current service jar includes two tags one for "today on three" and the other is a catagorised list of content, news, movies, ringtones etc etc.
Depending on what phone you have you may not even no of its existence as on say the 616V the app does not appear in a separate menu.
What phone do you have?

Thank you NAZA! x
I currently have an e606. (Soon to have an A1000...it's on its way!)
When I open the browser, I see two tabs at the top, one says "Today on Three" the other says "Services"
Oh and it annoyingly begins to scroll down the today page automatically!!!
How can I tell which version number it is? And can I force it to upgrade if its an old one?
Thanks again!
Ahh the trusty 606!! used to have one of those! no picture messages for you eh when in 2g area! I had a big argument with three about that when i first became a customer and got myself a free upgrade to an A835 which sends/receives pic messages anywhere.
Anyway, the system automatically upgrades the services.jar file and its been so long since ive seen a 606 im not sure if you can force it. can anyone else help with that? I know the URL for the update but cant remember if 606 is even capable of going direct to a URL.
know what you mean about auto scroll, my a835 did that util this latest version came out which is much better, but i did not have to do anything it just auto updated about 2 weeks ago.
Janine, got a question for yah....ahhhermmmm the bind boggles eh? Seriously You said you were getting yourself an a1000 how do you feel about going from a buttoned phone to a touchscreen. Reason i ask is that having considered it i thought text messaging would be a pain in the butt.
Any thoughts appreciated (off topic i know)

I'm not sure on any NEC phones, but on the A835 on the java apps menu theres the code that will reset everything in the Java Memory (including any games, so be careful) by: -
1.go to the menu in your phone then settings> java settings
2.type 25326 and pause for a few seconds (this will reset the java memory)
3.go to the menu in your phone then tools > web access > go to URL and then enter mobile.three.co.uk/hb/talon/jads/TalonMidlet.jad and download the Java Application (Services)
I'm not sure if theres anything similar for the NEC phones.
The only thing you would use the above for now on a A835 is if you dont use any 3 services and you want to free up the java memory occupied by the services app to put more games on your phone (you cant select the delete option for the services app on the A835) but in the process you loose any games which are already on the handset

Hey NAZA, have to admit, my current WPM will drop some, but I think it has handwriting recognition. I've used palm pilots before, and after a time, your WPM can be quite impressive!!!
I have quite skillful fingers you know!!! ;)
Hmm i dont doubt your skillfull fingers but what about one handed SMSing?
