Are there any o2 csr's here that know about my BT Cellnet /O2 Pay up front for life?

I want my contract honoured IE able to change between 200 mins off peak/month and 50 anytime mins/month all to landlines and other o2 lines.

Talking to the CSR'S is a bit like the new Little Britain bank clerk.

"Computer says no"

I also want to take up the option of 20 anytime x network mins for £4.99/month.

It was only bought 3 years ago how can they call that " FOR LIFE"

Doesnt surprise me.

Do you also remember their PAYG free calls to one number for life offer a few years back.

They screwed me out of that deal as well.

Another con...

Well you'll wait and wait and wait with them mate.

I shoudl have made my one number free for life their customer service number as I was always ringing it.

And as someone reminded others the other day they dont even make their CS calls free to call. What is it nowadays 50p a min?

theres a way around that, if youre on pay and go call 4444 to top up then put a voucher number in wrong 3 times and it gives you the option to talk to CS (for free).

if on contract call

01349 885040 or
01349 887193

Well my letter did work I am getting somewhere with o2 honouring my contract.........the senior csr phoned today said all would be honoured but a bit unsure about the right to change between plans again in future.......despite saying you r able to do so in contract.

I said right fair enough "put it all in writing for me"...........wow.........that spooked him.....lol..........put it in writing he said........."ermm"..........LOOOOOOOONG pause.......finally he said ok............wonder if the letter he produces is the same as what he said verbally?????????

PRECIDENT.........I think he's afraid of setting one that'll come back to huant him.

What precident is that?

O2 offering people one of their generous deals that people actually signed up to?

Yeah I know killahurts good point I agree........why have I gotta fight for them to OFFER IT now they dont like the terms that they set and can no longer honour.........I'll gladly let anyone else use my case as a precident to get their rights with this deal if they want just let me know.

Incidentally have you noticed how neither Miffed or 3GSU have commented on this post and said its disgraceful how you've been treated.

Now how could that be?

Surely nothing to do with the cash they take???

Not bothered if they dont comment .......think they are too embarresed to!

What matter's is that its sorted for other member's to get what they paid for.....a little less ranting by the usual suspects and some help would benifit this forum.

Keep up the good work killa!

You wont find another site dealing with this issue ........I know I looked........some people give in SO easily.............this is still a great deal..........and worth resurecting from your drawer and fighting for............Argos sold loads of them 3 years ago.

No need to comment because is is open and shut - o2 are definatley in the wrong so wheres the need for a comment ?
Just because you defend Three even when they are in the wrong doesn't mean I am going to do the same with o2 !

Well the good news is this

OTELO have decided that o2 must pay me £50 in compensation for not honouring the choices of the original contract.

Hence whats good for me is good for everyone else.

So Roll up roll up pay up front for life package holders come and claim your free £50 from good old o2............................lmfao :D

I think even OFCOM has missed the point here, are they saying we can do what we like when we like without telling you and if we do, we only have to pay you £50 pounds, thats little cost to them, more cost if they were forced to keep to their orginal contract with you.

OFCOM sides with the networks again !

Yeah it is a cheap way of o2 buying me off......but if OTELO made o2 pay every pay up front contract holder pay the £50 that they are now entitled to then I think o2 would think again about honouring the contract. Why cant they reintroduce the anytime 50 tarrif ?

Its only of benifit to o2 if they only pay to me and a reletively few others.

I'll write to OTELO and insist that they make O2 pay ALL of the existing contract holders the £50 by writing to them and telling them they have altered their terms and conditions of service and as such will be making a payment of £50 in compensation.........now that WILL hurt O2.

I am thinking about whether I want the £50 or the original terms honoured.

the terms! also contact trading standards... you paid money for Bt cellnet pay up front for life, and are entitled by law to that, write to your MP asking telling you want a parlimentary investigation into the matter and Ofcom's decision.
This is a matter of not letting companies/departments underule your legal rights....
