It was never promised before 2005 AFAIK.
Doubt if it matters anyway as they already offer PAYG services on GSM and for voice and text (which is what most PAYG customers use) thats sufficient.

You posted this back in feb 0f this year so it was your "silly" post to which I refer.
"Coming soon" as a headline back in feb 2004 now looks rather silly indeed to me, considering its now nearly christmas 2004!!!! and still no 3g orange.

If you read it carefully you'll find the only hint is this:
"Chief Operating Officer Sanjiv Ahuja told Reuters Orange "would look at it (a prepay service)" as part of a long-delayed range of high-speed, third-generation (3G) multimedia phones it plans to start selling in the second half of the year."
It says they'll look at it, nothing definite, and doesn't even guestimate when it would happen. It says Orange plan to start selling 3G phones in the second half of 2004 - not that it plans to sell PAYG 3G phones then.
Please resist from posting personal attacks.

So we are back to telling lies about other contributers? Not for the first time has this rubbish been spouted and its totally unfounded. Unless you can provide proof of the above the above comment remains nothing more than a malicious and deliberate attempt to discredit another forum member. It's noticeable that further childish posts seem to have followed the above and that sadly illustrates what negative personal 'flaming' reduces threads to.

for goodness sake. Will you stop trying to score points of each other? Ive only been on the forum for a week and already Im sick of it. Im sure 3GSU has said some bad things about 3. Recently he's been fairly complimentary. Killahurts seems to be jumping EVERY time that he posts though. Getting a little childish, its only phones

Tebbs - you must have been reading a different board for the last few days then.
AS I've started numerous threads and one person and one person alone has jumped in - polluted them, took them off message and started personal abuse and it aint me!
What i do do - and will continue to do - is highlight the fact that some people on here have an inside interest to attack 3.
One user has admitted he has been paid by mobile companies other than 3 for services he provides them with.
I think its important people know that. Its called transparency and openness.
The above does not of course excuse the deliberate lie posted above! We have yet to view any substantive proof that what was stated is factual.
(Of course I freely admit that as a personnel sub-contractor I did a few days temporary work for some telco's last year, not even companies I have ever had a mobile account with!) I agree that it is high time the likes of the above ceased.... it's boring reading the same supposition and conspiricy nonsense over and over.

So there you go again admitting you were paid for your services to a mobile companies other than 3. Hardly a lie then!
As for the timescale it just changes all the time but the important fact is that as I say you have been paid for your services.
Many people build up a blind loyalty to companies they work for...
My blind loyalty extends to me just entering into a new 3 contract! Never have I paid to use the services of those I have worked for!
The quoted offensive lie still remains unproven and the above simply does not make any sense relative to the supposition that was deliberatley presented as fact - wrongly!

You're talking nonsense and people can make up their own minds about the reasons for your hostility to 3.

I was just poking fun at the post about orange and their gutless adoption of 3g.........which is a fair point.
3 are improving as we speak whilst orange aint even off the ground yet.To yer average joe public the other networks r looking increasingly tame and outdated full of empty promises and overpriced tarrifs for pay monthlies tho its got better recently to the point I've taken a new contract with orange.But thats another story.
Long live three they just woke the other complacent networks up.

What a joke.... well that's what 3 seems to be as far as anyone I have spoken to who works for their compeditors think. Justifably so.... all that dosh aquiring customers who were let down by a poor network, poor CS, poor content and hardware that is nothing short of lacklustre compared with other modern mobile kit. 3 were up to 75% cheaper than the rest and we now know why. They knew the value of the product in the marketplace - that bit they got right, the bit they got wrong was wheather the UK customer wanted something that was less reliable and less user friendly than they had previously...even at the price....I suspect most customers expect better - bad mis-calculation by Hutchison.
